Hey there. Just a quick little post. I just wanted to blog about my awesome weekend. It was so slow paced it really mellowed me out. Just chilled, watched TV and DVDs, listened to TONS of music and surfed online and chatted. Also the best part was the chatting part. I had an amazing chat with two friends who really had some great things to say. Really great experience that really helped to open my eyes and respect myself and enjoy my life even more. It’s great when great friends really stand out from the crowds and are there for you. Wicked chats that really gave me a natural buzz hehe! Swimming With the Sharks
This was such a great and inspiring read. It popped up in my RSS reader and it was well worth the read because of the inspiration it gave me. It is a BusinessWeek article about a young Georgia grad who has set up a successful eco-tourism company in Mexico. He spends his time between the US and Mexico and in only a few years his business has taken off and, at the same time, it is helping to protect one of nature’s treasures. And that is what captivated me. The package is incredible, for only $200 dollars you get to spend the entire day snorkeling and learning about the gentle giants of the sea known as Whale Sharks. These lumbering beasts are not only shy but gentle creatures and they sure love Mexico! Apparently there is a huge population of them there and this bright young entrepreneur took advantage of this niche to not only boost the tourism sector but also to help conserve these beautiful animals. I think its great that not only can you create and run a successful business, but you can create a successful business that you are passionate about. I hope that one day after I graduate that I might be able to not only do a good job, but do a good job that I am passionate about. This was just one story that proves that passion and excellence can yield a successful business model.

Hello there.  I just felt like blogging about how I spent the last 2 hours because they weren’t fun!  I decided that since I didn’t have much to do tonight I would attempt to hunt the net for any profiles that I had created during the last year or two. I was stunned by how many profiles I had and also I was stunned by how many services I had signed up for but that I no longer use.  It was amazing!  Well so I went to work tracking them down and either overhauling them or deleting them.  I am glad that I took the time to do so because you never know how all that “junk” might be used against you in the future. Maybe I am being paranoid but nevertheless I am glad that I did it. On the flip side I updated the profiles of services that I use a lot and eventually I will link to them from this site.  So the moral of this post is to start hunting for any dead profiles if you are bored or paranoid or both!

Wow I was just surfing the web when I found out that David Kim an editor for CNET , and his family have gone missing while on a roadtrip to the North Western States. It is so sad that these things happen to good people. I am praying for his safe return and I hope that all will be well. I am so glad that I tell the people who matter most to me how much I love and care about them whenever I see them because it just goes to show how unpredictable, and sometimes cruel, life can be.

Hi guys just wanted to babble on a bit! Well I was really busy with exams and work and then on Monday I had a really bad cold. The weekend was awesome with lots of time for R&R since several of my exams were postponed. I watched the first Season of the 4400. Wow it is such a great show with awesome actors and an excellent plot. Now I have got to rent S2 because the cliffhanger of the S1 finale was awesome! I also demolished the S3 episodes of BattleStar Galactica. I can’t begin to describe what that felt like! S3 is without a doubt the best Sci-Fi/Action or whatever you want to call it show, period. These 7 episodes were full of great actors, incredible music and Special Effects galore. The writers have down a terrific job with season 3. It is amazing and you have to watch it whether you are into Sci-Fi or not. The characters, plot, score and action are just incredible. I have friends who borrowed my DVDs (S1 and S2) and they were blown away with the show, even though they previously wouldn’t have watched a Sci-Fi show if you had bribed them!! The reason is that BSG is not a Sci-Fi show in the traditional sense with dorky costumes, lame looking aliens and over the top special effects. Instead BSG focuses on the survivors with a rag tag fleet of ships facing overwhelming odds. Its is a show about people in every sense of the word. In fact I re-watched S1 and S2 before I got S3 because I missed it so much!. Other than that I cranked up the Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, and My Chemical Romance albums and just relaxed. Especially with the tense bitching that is going on in the country it was good to get my thoughts off of it. Anyways I believe that it’s in God’s Hands and not ours and worrying about each scenario is pointless. Anyways got to go so take care, bye for now!

Google’s $500 Question: Can Growth Keep Pace?
Man this article got me thinking hard! If only I had bought just 3 shares back in 2004 I would now be a happy camper indeed! I knew that Google was going to grow big but the growth is fascinating to say the least. Its almost like the tech bubble never burst. It got me thinking how even in the post tech bubble surprises can still happen and its just a matter of finding that diamond in the rough. Well this probably sounds trivial to many but still I felt that I had to write this down in black and white so to speak as a reminder that when I start investing in the future, it sure pays to be in the “loop” ahead of time when it comes to picking tech (or any stock for that matter). Hopefully, one day I will get “lucky” even though the stock market isn’t what it used to be.
