Low-Carb Diet Doesn’t Up Heart Risk
Hello again. I was checking my inbox when a newsletter from webMD caught my eye. It talks about low Carb lifestyles and whether or not they produce nasty things such as heart attacks in the future. It was a great read and it is yet another piece of research that proves that a healthy low carb diet is a good thing. I myself have been on such a plan as well as an exercise plan and I have lost 20 kilograms (44 lbs!) in only 2, or so, months! I feel and look great and I am sure that I am doing the right thing. I will not reveal neither what I weigh now nor what my target weight is!! However, stay tuned if you are curious because I will be dropping little hints every now and again!
Honestly I feel wonderful and I do not need the refined junk that I was eating. I noticed that vast quantities of pasta, rice, sugary foods, and other starchy foods left me feeling bloated, heavy, and exhausted. I now feel more energetic, healthier, and much more alive. Also my new eating plan has ironed out my blood sugars so an added benefit is that my appetite and hunger are always in check! I will continue this discussion in another post but suffice to say that I feel that a low carb lifestyle that is full of fresh vegetables, lean meats, fruit, water, and low fatty foods (i.e I eat healthy fats such as olive oil for example) is both healthy and practical at the same time. Coupled with exercise this plan is both effective and safe. However, my ultimate goal is to reintroduce healthy whole grains after I have shed my weight and the odd treat will not be my downfall because of my new lifestyle, my new motivation, and my new love for exercise!
